Socket head cap screws are ideal for applications where there is little room to use wrenches to apply torque, or if the application is recessed.

The hexagonal drive is located at the top of the fastener, then the socket head cap screw is tightened either by hand with a hexagon allen key or by a power drill using a hexagonal screwdriver bit.
